VDBP and VDR Mutations May Cause In-Stent Restenosis

چکیده

Objective: In-stent restenosis (ISR) is the narrowing of a stented coronary artery lesion. A considerable number patients undergoing percutaneous intervention (PCI) are affected by ISR. The predominant mechanism in development ISR an inflammatory response to vessel wall injury during PCI. Vitamin D reported have anti-inflammatory properties, so it may also be related with Therefore, this study relationship between vitamin receptor (VDR), binding protein (VDBP) gene variations and were investigated.
Methods: Fifty-eight who chest pain, underwent angiography found previously inserted stent included patient group thirty-five pain not their previous control group. rs7041 rs4588 VDBP; rs1544410 rs2228570 VDR investigated real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results evaluated statistically. Results: CC genotype variation CA VDBP statistically high was had myocardial infarction history before implantation. Additionally, demonstrated that deficiency (vitamin level

Platelet aggregation in intracranial stents may mimic in-stent restenosis.

We report the case of an early ISR that was due to platelet aggregation despite correct observance of a standard antiplatelet regimen. Biologic testing showed clopidogrel inefficiency, and ISR disappeared on angiography after a loading dose of clopidogrel. This result suggested that the arterial lumen reduction was due to platelet aggregation rather than in-stent myointimal hyperplasia. This ob...

Overview of Intracoronary Brachytherapy for in-Stent Restenosis of a Drug-Eluting Stent

Percutaneous coronary intervention with stenting is considered recently as the most common procedure for the treatment of symptomatic coronary. The article reviewed 41 studies published during 1997-2019 on intracoronary brachytherapy for in-stent restenosis of a drug-eluting stent. Intracoronary radiation therapy was finally confirmed in the setting of in-stent restenosis using as adjunctive th...

Reducing In-Stent Restenosis

All animal procedures were performed in accordance with UK Home Office Guidance on the operation of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and institutional ethical approval (PPL60/4114 and PPL 60/4429). Male white Landrace pigs (SAC Commercial Ltd, Edinburgh, UK) and miR-21 knockout mice (1) were maintained on a 12 hour light/dark cycle with free access to food and water at a designated ...

In-Stent Restenosis?

The introduction of bare metal stents (BMS) over 30 years ago was a significant milestone in the evolution of percutaneous coronary intervention. Soon after, it was apparent that these stents led to a troubling phenomenon of in-stent restenosis (ISR), which requires repeat revascularization, was associated with increased morbidity and mortality, and posed a therapeutic challenge. The quest for ...

Stent strut thickness and restenosis.

To the Editor: Kastrati et al recently reported1 significantly less restenosis with lesions randomized to deployment of one stent design (ACS RX Multi-Link, [ML]) than with a related design (Multi-Link RX Duet, [DT]) from the same manufacturer (Guidant). They attributed the difference in restenosis to the difference in strut thickness. Although the two stent designs do differ significantly in s...
